Wow! This place is a hidden gem! We were seated without any wait, by the chef himself. Our server was not just friendly, she took the time to chat with us. We ordered the Oyster Sampler to start and they are not lying when they say their Chargrilled Oysters are famous! Definitely our favorite, but the others were delicious as well. Then we ordered the broiled JO Platter with a house salad and fried okra. The salad was so fresh with their house made ranch and croutons. So delicious, I couldn’t stop eating it! We had to get their bread pudding to go because we were so full, but our server told us the best way to serve it. Can’t wait to try it! The service was absolutely fantastic! Wish we had one of these in Atlanta!!

My husband and I went for dinner a few nights ago and we were less than impressed with the service we received and things we witnessed. We were seated as soon as we walked in and waited an unreasonable amount of time for a waitress to come to our table. I sat and counted 5-6 employees sitting at a bar table chatting, eating, and on their phones. They would occasionally get up to check on their tables (without washing their hands from eating their food and touching their phones) but then go right back to sit. The hostess had another 4-5 employees sitting on the benches/chairs beside her. They were also all chatting and on their phones, only paying attention when someone walked through the front door. Everyone was oblivious to our existence. I eventually had to get up and ask the Hostess to get someone for us. Honeslty, we should have just got up and left but we were limited to a specific time because a babysitter was watching our children for us to have this rare date night. Let me be clear, everyone at work deserves a break to eat and rest. But out of all the employees we saw, there’s no excuse as to why it took so long. We usually love Wintzell’s but we will definitely go out of our way to go to a different location next time.

Bri took really good care of us! We loved the food. Everything we had was so tasty. We were in town for 5 days and ate here 3 days out of the 5! The soft shell crab was amazing! The jambalaya was so good The sampler plate was what I had and it was so good! Deep fried pickles were amazing and the bloody Mary was superb!
