The food at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The pasta is so fresh (flown in daily from Italy!!), the pasta sauces are light and flavorful, and the prices are so reasonable. The "Taste Sampler" is the best choice for a first-time visit. You get an appetizer, 3 different pasta dishes, and then dessert for $45! All the dishes are cooked to order, prepared quickly, and are plated in front of you if you are sitting in the bar table around the kitchen.
They do not take reservations, so plan on waiting for a bit, but it is definitely worth the wait! It has a really quaint seating area and cozy atmosphere.
We will definitely be back to visit one of the 5 restaurants in the LA area!

Just okay…
Took a friend for her bday, it was her choice since she heard all about their fancy pasta imported here. It wasn’t bad, just wasn’t all that amazing.

Service was stellar. They’re all super nice. Very friendly and helpful. Waters refilled. Checked on. All smiles.

We got the Regional tasting menu option and was able to sub the battuta di carne out for the yellowtail crudo. So yellowtail crudo was as expected. Good but nothing mind blowing. The olive oil used did taste really good, you can tell it was high quality. Dish needed more acid though. The mushroom side dish, if you like mushrooms, order this! It was so good. Perfectly sautéed and seasoned. Ate well with the pastas. The ragu was the only pasta dish we got that I was able to enjoy entirely. But it’s literally pasta and a tiny smidge of meat sauce. The crema di parmigiano, initial bite was delicious. The creamy sauce and little tortellinis were good. But after like 3 bites, it got too rich and you need a break from it. For the amatriciana, I took one bite and was an automatic No. Didn’t want another bite, didn’t even want to take it home. It had the weird super acidic bland tomato flavor that just wasn’t appetizing. And for dessert, I’m normally not a tiramisu person, but this one was goooood. It’s not a crazy decadent like most tiramisu are and it’s light and refreshing and has all the tiramisu components tastefully done. If I were to come back, literally would only order the mushrooms and tiramisu again.

Parking - this area has paid lots and garages. Also has street parking with meters. We just parked in one of the bigger paid lots around the corner and walked here. But I saw a garage right across the street from this location.

This is a place where you can taste truly authentic pasta as they are intended to be. All ingredients are imported and handmade, there are very few places in LA with such good pasta. There is always a 15-30min wait, even longer at times and now they have a new location. As an Italian, I can vouch for its authenticity, the Cacio e Pepe is finished in a pecorino shell, the carbonara has delicious crispy guanciale. My son had the Tortellini in brodo AND the other version as well! All great pastas, I just wish the timing was a little better, it takes 5-7 minutes to eat these portions and if one gets there late, everyone is eating at different times and never together.

I recently visited this Italian restaurant after noticing it during a shopping trip a while back. It’s usually very busy, but today I finally had the chance to try it out. I opted for the Cheese & Truffle tasting menu so I could sample three different pasta dishes along with a classic Italian dessert to finish. The portions were generous, and I found myself quite full after the three pastas, despite it being a tasting menu.

We sat at the bar, which allowed us to watch the chefs prepare the pasta fresh in front of us—a unique and enjoyable experience. The pasta is all imported from Italy, and you can truly taste the difference in quality and craftsmanship. Each dish was expertly made with great texture and flavor. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic Italian pasta.

Believe the Hype! Perfectly portioned and cooked al dente, it's clear they understand the art of pasta-making. The imported ingredients truly shine through in every dish. I tried the arrabbiata and the parmigiana, and both were simply to die for! The arrabbiata had the perfect kick, while the parmigiana was rich and comforting. Uovo isn't just a meal; it's an experience. If you're looking for truly exceptional Italian food in Pasadena, look no further.

Pasta heaven!!! Handmade pasta flown in overnight from Italy is amazing. Uovo in English means egg, and it's one of the key differentiators of this restaurant's pasta. To get the most bang for your buck, I recommend doing the tasting...which is what we did - Cheese & Truffle.

We loved sitting at the high top bar area as we got to watch all the action in the kitchen. Sure, the al fresco dining offered better lighting to photograph the food...but the view couldn't be beat (and they plate your pasta right in front of you). Sitting there also means that a server is always available.

Yellowtail Crudo - Nice sweet crunch from the red chili balanced against the peppery and bitter micro-arugala. The blood orange and lemon give the dish a bright citrus note and the olive oil carries the flavor on the raw sliced Japanese yellowtail.

Tagliatelle in Truffle Sauce - creamy with a slight earthy musk thanks to the truffle. This is a must-try and my second favorite pasta on the Cheese & Truffle tasting menu.

Pomodoro - in English means tomato. This classic dish has the love and heart of Nonna (grandmother) with a touch of saltiness from the parmigiano reggiano. The pomodoro Is the perfect palate cleanser between two creamy dishes.

Cacio e Pepe - my favorite dish! A creamy and sharp sauce with some peppery heat. The tonnarelli pasta is the right vehicle to deliver the hearty sauce. Plus, enjoy the preparation has the chef twirls and pulls the hot pasta in the pecorino romano DOP block.

With two heavier cream sauces, we elected to add the broccolini side to our meal. Not only did the broccolini bring in the garden freshness, it added a nice crunch.

We ended the meal with the Tiramisu and the Panna Cotta con Saba. The tiramisù was yummy and had a nice espresso kick at the bottom on the glass. The panna cotta was ah-maze-ing! The panna cotta was perfectly set and smooth (no lumps and not firm), velvety texture. The saba added a lovely thick, reduced berry sauce that reminded me of an aged balsamic reduction.

All in all, I would come back for the Cacio e Pepe, the Panna Cotta con Saba, seats at the high top bar, and the friendly service.

Oh, and note that there was an automatic 16% service charge and no tipping.

The cups had a weird still water smell that completely ruined my appetite before our food got there. It made everything after taste like dog food.. the food was honestly probably fine.. but just that smell ruined the whole experience for me and made me want to throw up before the food even got there. I felt bad because I was so excited to try this place and the person I went with was excited for me to try it.

This place had one of the longest wait I've ever done for the worse kind of payoff. I've been hearing lots of reviews of this place and people exclaiming praises on how authentic and how that import their pasta etc etc.

Brief summary, this place is just a gimmick, using the idea that it's all "authentic" and "from Italy" as their main selling point.

Our table was on the outside patio which also made it feel like we were neglected. It was hard to get any attention for refills of water, clean up of empty dishes, ordering in general, and getting the bill.

The pricing for the dishes are pretty high and the portion given are abysmal for what you're paying for.

I also suspect that they don't actually use fresh seafood as the one of the dishes had 1.5x the amount of shells to clam meat. This makes me suspects that they throw in meat after the fact.

Overall, if I came to spend nearly $25 on a meal, I would like to at least leave satiated. I don't believe I'll come back to this establishment after this experience.
