I’m so impressed with the face + body shop in San Mateo. I was searching online for the Emtone treatment and stumbled upon their website. I received almost an instant text from Liz and was able to book an appointment same day! (on a Saturday!) I work a very busy schedule so a Saturday appointment is a must.

Dee performed my Emtone treatment on my thighs and bra line and she was friendly, professional, and very thorough treating all my areas. I have tried many treatments for cellulite and skin tightening throughout the years and I can say that the Emtone treatment is by far the most comfortable and uses combined energies for great results.

I purchased a package at a fair price and I swear I can already see results from the first treatment! My skin feels smoother, tighter, and less bloated.

Additionally, I had to try the emsculpt neo on my arms. I had liposuction on my arms years ago and needed a touch up type treatment. The procedure was comfortable and my arms feel stimulated. I feel combining these non invasive treatments with my workouts will help me reach my goals.

Liz also came to check on me during my treatments and brought me water like 3 times. I think I was there a few hours but time went by quickly as I was having a blast.

I went into the face & body shop to get my lips done for the first time. I was definitely a bit Hesitant because I’ve seen lip injection go over board and did not want to do anything I’d regret.

Liz talked me through the whole thing. I told her what I was hoping to achieve and she made recommendations based on her experience but told me Yvette, their nurse would be able to make the final calls.

Yvette was INCREDIBLE. She told me what she was doing each step of the way. When it may hurt, how long something would take, and what to expect recovery wise.

I am SOOOO happy with the results! My lips look so full but most importantly, sooo natural!

Liz also hooked me up with an amazing skin care set from Defenage and I’ve been getting compliments on my skin left and right!

I went to the Face + Body Shop after seeing an ad on Facebook. I have some wrinkles & skin issues I'd like to address. I can't yet comment on the quality or value as this was my 1st appointment. Everyone that I met was very professional & knowledgeable. We went over my various options & I felt comfortable asking a lot of questions to which every question was answered thoroughly. The women at the front desk were especially helpful and advised me of some product I could start using immediately. I haven't started my treatments yet, but I'm glad I went to the Face + Body Shop and will review again once everything gets under way.

The Face and Body shop is the perfect place for anyone who is at any stage on their fitness journey. I can see the benefits for those looking to get a jump start or those looking to get the shredded look. For me personally I had plateaued after a year and a half of a strict workout and diet regiment. With the technology they have in place, and the treatments I received for arms and abs, I saw drastic transformation after three treatments and proceeded to get more. Because I was already well on my fitness plan before I saw them, my abs became 12 packs. No lie! My arms got cut and gained mass. All this while able to perform my daily exercises the following day of treatment. The staff here is top notch. The environment has a nice industrial feel, yet homey, and with detail to health and safety standards that I would associate to a doctors office, which is huge for me.
I’ve been on both sides of the spectrum. This can benefit the person just starting out to see results accompanied with workout and diet in weeks, for what would normally take months. For those who are already fit but want to see additional and noticeable results in your physique and ability I would highly recommend it as well.

I don’t write many reviews but this place is new to San Mateo and I love that it’s accessible with amazing staff and a health positive footprint in the community. I would love to see others benefit from being able to read this review and go check them out.

EMSculpt was just what I needed to jump start my summer body now that travel is open again. It was like performing 10,000 ab crunches in 30 minutes — without any pain or discomfort. My treatment was quick and professional and the staff was great. Easy parking. Check them out

But seriously if you have ANY questions about what's best for your skin or your body Liz is your girl she knows all of their products and offerings like the back of her hand and makes you feel so comfortable that you aren't afraid to ask any question. Best new addition to the mid peninsula hands down!
