Tami at Talk of the Town in Santa Barbara, CA is the absolute BEST at hair extensions and hair replacement. I had originally gone to another stylist who did my extensions and the color didn't even match my own hair color. I found Tami at Talk of the Town and took and chance and she completely blew my expectations. I was nervous to give it a try again but I'm so glad that I did. Highly recommend this hair studio. With being new in town and having problems with my hair for years, finding someone to trust can be difficult. This hasn’t been the case with Tami. I can't say enough wonderful things about Tami and Talk of the Town. From the very first moment I met Tami, I knew that I was in the very best hands and that she would find a solution for my hair loss. She explained all the different options I had, answered my (many!) questions, and comforted me when I started tearing up. She even took the time to research make up for me! Tami is the greatest! She is very knowledge treatments she does and the products she uses. I am a 77 year old woman who was experiencing female patterned baldness, and although I was not bald I was definitely seeing a thinning of my hair in the front and sides of my scalp. One evening I was watching a TV commercial about hair loss and it was from Talk of the Town. I decided to make an appointment with Tami and have been a fan ever since. It has been a year since I started the treatments and I have been very happy with the result. Thanks Tami!

There are wig shops and then there are wig shops. This is not your typical wig shop, as they also specialize in hair loss and hair restoration. I made an appointment and Tami was immediately helpful and asked what looks I prefer. She gave me her cell number (I was impressed by her commitment to customer service in this regard) and I texted her several pictures of what hairstyles I gravitate towards. Here’s one of the many differences between regular wig shops and Talk of the Town. When I arrived, she had 4 wigs ready to go for me to try on in a private room. This also impressed me that they even had private rooms. This was nice as I lost my hair (for the second time) due to cancer treatment and it’s a sensitive issue for me (as would be for most women) and prefer not to parade my splotchy bald head in front of total strangers in the store. Tami was very kind and extremely knowledgeable when it came to the types of wigs/hair and therefore, I know I made a great choice. I have other (non-real hair) wigs at home that I purchased online and don’t fit nearly as well, and several weeks later, I brought them in to have her size appropriately. Thanks to her, I can now also comfortably wear my other wigs! I can’t say enough good things about her and the shop. Highly recommend!
