The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the outstanding service and quality you receive.
I've found my new go-to nail salon, and I highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional nail experience!

First time getting GelX and loved my experience here. Nathan did an amazing job and I’m really happy how my nails turned out. The salon is very clean; atmosphere is relaxing and friendly. Highly recommend and will definitely come back!

I can't reply to the business directly, but would like to clear a few things since I was on the phone with my mother and can discredit some of your claims. My mother didn't ask for the refund in cash but asked for my husband's card to be refunded. You said she needed her receipt which she didn't have at the time. After she said she didn't. You replied that in your policy we could not/cannot get a refund. Saying you were busy on a Saturday is understandable, which I stated, but you were empty. As soon as she ran into problems, she FaceTimed me so I can attest to this. Stating the other clients name was unnecessary and unprofessional, which just supports my claim. My mother didn't want to give her name because she didn't see a point. There is no point in giving personal information if it seems like a business doesn't want to service you. It's okay though. We'll give the gift card to someone who will be serviced with no complications because our money has already been spent. Thank you and have a blessed 2025.

I am deeply disappointed and appalled by the blatant disregard and discriminatory behavior at this so-called "business." My family will no longer spend another cent here. My mother-in-law has frequented this place for years without any issues, but as soon as my own mother walked in, it was a completely different story. While I don’t want to jump to conclusions, the experience makes it impossible not to see this as a racially motivated issue.

Here’s what happened: My husband purchased a gift card for my mother right before Christmas, intending for her to enjoy any service she desired. According to both their Google listing and the signage on their door, they welcome walk-ins. However, when my mother walked in, they claimed they were "completely booked." This might have been understandable if the place wasn't utterly empty. To make matters worse, shortly after, a fair-skinned woman walked in without an appointment and was promptly attended to.

When my mother asked about getting a refund for the gift card—since it was clear she wouldn't be welcome to use it—the response was predictably dismissive. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable, though sadly, not surprising given the store's location in Shelby County.

If you’re a person of color considering this business, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The treatment my family experienced was disgraceful, and no one should have to endure such blatant disrespect. Avoid this place at all costs.

Nate was wonderful! I came here to get my nails done for my wedding and they are the best I've ever had! Everyone was so kind and hospitable! I even got to sip on a mimosa too!

I’ve been in the Birmingham area for 2 years now, and wish I could’ve found this salon a little quicker.

I am very picky about my nails and the way they look, and I’ve walked out of this salon twice now completely satisfied. They offer exceptional dipping services, asked the questions you’d expect to get out of an experiences specialized shop!! I could not have asked for more.

I have also had multiple pedicure services there now, they are super attentive, thorough, and take their time to make sure all services are performed to the highest standard.

The atmosphere here is very relaxing and calm, they always ask if I would like a drink, the music is great, up to date, and not overwhelming. Every person employed there is knowledgeable, friendly and very personable. So so glad to know I have found a new home for all my pedicure and manicure services.

Nathan and his family have made Sweet Escape the best nail salon in the area. I’ve tried many and was a loyal customer at a near by shop. On a whim I tried Sweet Escape and was blown away! The salon is calming and the techs are friendly and super talented! There hasn’t been a design that I’ve wanted to try that hey haven’t nailed. ?
