I left Skinderella yesterday feeling happy that I got a “deal” on some apparently amazing eye cream called “Celestolite Estrella Age-Revive Treatment.” The very aggressive salesman told me that it retailed at $2k, but he could get it down to me for $399 “because [he] made some sales today and had ‘points’ to lower the price.” He included an eye serum and an eye cream “as a free gift.” On Amazon, this exact same “eye treatment” is being sold for $69.99. I think it is horrific that Skinderella, a seemingly boutique shop in a lovely village of family-owned businesses would scam hard-working families out of their money during the holiday season. Truly horrible. I will never return despite their promise that they will honor “the same price” I paid yesterday in 2.5 years. They refused to take my name or information to honor such a claim, so I think the BBB should be made aware of their predatory business practices.

Beautiful shop, nice looking and smelling products
Cons: probably the worst salesperson I have ever seen: I asked for any soap that was beneficial to “skin”. She showed me non-soap, industrial products in the middle of the store instead all those soaps and mentioned that none of the soaps were for “face”, but only for body. I emphasized that I was not looking for skincare for my face but any soap that had good ingredients for skin and she replied that none of the soaps had any specific ingredient and the whole store was around the look of the soap rather than application and benefit!

Bought 2 of their overpriced bath bombs. Used the first one and it stained the bathtub. Had to bleach the tub to get the stain out. Threw out the 2nd. Never had problems with other companies bath bombs before this.

CELESTOLITE - On 9/11 a group of us visited solvang and a young lady got out attention about how a cream can disappear our eye bags so before we new i was at the chair with her putting on me celestolite well it did work so she tried it on my friend and as well it worked. So she proceeded to sell the cream first she said it was 900.00 then she dropped it to 500.00, finally she sold it to us for 200.00 each that we would see results in 6 weeks and to make sure we only apply one time per week, no explanation of return policy. I called to get info about possible returning items, and I was told that the return policy i was told it was 14 days, and the item must be unopened. I told him what we were told that it would take 6 weeks for results, and he told NO 6 MONTHS, I told told him how can we return the item if we didn't open it.
He said he was sorry, but tontry applying 2 times per week has no side effects and will see if it works, but NO MONEY BACK AFTER 14 DAYS
THE CREAM HAS NOT HELPED MY FRIEND OR I, AND WE ARE OUT OF 224.00. SO IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA DONT BUY ANY CREAMS DO NOT WORK, THEY ARE VERY PUSHY TO SELL UNTIL YOU FALL FOR IT.
SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR SOMETHING THAT REALLY WORKS THAT CELESTOLITE DOES NOT MAYBE THE ORIGINAL DOES BUT I THINK THIS WAS AN IMITATION

Visited yesterday, everyone was really nice to me, I was in love with how cute everything was! Got a cupcake soap and a rose bath-bomb. Used it yesterday and loved it. Yeah it is pricey but it’s a tourist attraction so I got my pricey soaps and had fun looking at all of them. It was weird they had a person hanging out in the doorway. Not sure why, maybe to prevent stealing? It was really early so I didn’t get a pushy sales pitch or anything if I had, I wouldn’t have gone in. The guy at the door laughed when I looked in the window and said “it’s not the bakery” which is cute because it totally looks like it! Hopefully on other days the guy is just as nice and no one is pushy because I got to shop and look around and had fun without feeling like I had people lurking and forcing me to buy stuff

Today I had an almost identical experience to the reviewer that said she felt trapped after taking a sample of skin cream. My husband was with me and Rocco even pushed the product on him. I was told it would cost $300 but eventually he lowered the price to $150. A female "treatment specialist" joined in and talked about a $6,000 price for some other treatment. We finally were able to get away. I hope the Chamber of Commerece and The Better Business Bureau investigate this business. This was a deliberate attempt to scam the elderly. There are other stores where you can find the cute, bright soaps like they have on display that give this store an inviting look. My experience left a bad taste in my mouth not only for this store, but for the entire town.
Walk on by and fast! Buyer beware!

My friends and I visited Solvang for a turnaround trip by bus last month. We stopped by that store for the looks of their colorful products from the outside. After choosing a couple of their items and paid, another friend did so and was told after she paid the 3rd item was free. We reclaim to have each bought two, so why not give us the third item for free? One of the staff (brunette hair & petite) was unwilling. When another staff came to take over the shift, this young blond lady was kind enough to do so after my friend convinced her of our purchases. Not good customer services, and best to buy them online once their website is up and working.
