I've been going to Shakira for about 10 years for my nails and she is the best. Shine is a small boutique nail salon in Capitola with 3 nail technicians, all who are highly skilled in their profession. This is a friendly, welcoming place that feels like you are among friends. I've been going to Shine Nail Lounge, previously Nails to Envy, for over 17 years.
The owner Shakira is clearly an expert manicurist. She and everyone at the shop take pride in their work and it shows! The shop is bright , inviting and always clean. Everyone is friendly and professional. I've never been disappointed, and you won't be either!

I have been going to Shine Nail Lounge for well over 6 + years! This is one of the best and most professional nail salons in Santa Cruz County. Believe me, I had to go through many salons to find one that met my standards and needs in this County!!! It took me years to finally find a Nail Salon that I was happy with!!!! The owner uses high quality products, cares about her customers and is a very talented nail artist, smart business woman, and runs a sucessfull local business! Also, all the techs in this salon communicate well and understand their customer's needs. There is no foreign languages spoken here ! The State Board licenses are CLEARLY posted on the wall, they are ACTIVE and VALID for all the TECHS in the Salon. The Salon is clean and and has a nice atmosphere, and proper cleaning of tools, nail stations, and pedi tubs are done efficiently and effectively. I highly recommend Shine Nail Lounge for Mani's, pedi's, and acrylic nails with top of the line Gel polishes with endless color options! You can't go wrong here, and please support a local small business when looking to get your nails done! I wish I could rate Shine Nail Lounge more than 5 Stars!!!!

First time here and I love it already. Thania is AMAZING! She has an amazing attention to detail and my nails look great! Defintely plan on going back. She put so much care into doing a quality job, and was really kind too! The place is super cute and clean with a good vibe. Love love love!

I got a gel mani/pedi done by Thania and I truly could not be happier with my experience! Thania is SO thorough in her prep of the nails which made the end product so clean and beautiful. The vibe in the salon is wonderful- salons are often pretty anxiety inducing for me but the friendly, chill vibe that Thania and Cheryl created made my experience so relaxing and fun. Easily the best mani/pedi I’ve ever had and I will be coming back for sure!

Shakira, the owner of Shine Nail Lounge, takes her time and makes my pedicures absolutely perfect every time. She is the best in town and uses only the top of the line products. She gets booked out, so make sure you book ahead. The other nail techs at Shine are awesome too, but Shakira is my gal! I always look forward to my monthly pedicure at Shine!
