David and his assistants all share a common kindness and willingness to set aside "policies" and "greed" and "non-empathy" (as is the staple of every cremation/burial service company in the Monterey area that I contacted, who are downright mean and uncaring) to provide grieving survivors the peace of mind and closure you need. If you live on the Monterey Peninsula, I highly encourage driving a bit further to Santa Cruz, so that David and his team's compassion will treat you as a human being, so that your profound moment of losing a close loved one is remembered positively. Santa Cruz Watsonville Cremation and Burial Service is a wonderful company, with such kind and helpful people. I mistakenly picked a company that said they were local and affordable. When I actually got the quote which was not what they stated, I called and found out they are not local but some type of broker, it was a scam. Do not make the same mistake I did. I immediately called Santa Cruz Watsonville and was so relieved how simple the process is. They went and picked my Father up the next day without any payment or hassle. They made the paperwork process so easy with the online signing process. The price was actually more reasonable than the "broker". I felt like we as a family were treated with respect and consideration by the helpful staff. I would tell anyone who has just suffered a loss that you need to call a company that makes your stress just a little bit less when you feel like your world is coming apart. They are efficient, responsive, helpful, and very affordable!
