This cute salon is spot on. Hair cuts. Sassy nails. Vincent does fabulous hair. Straight clean edges. Mod looks. He's terrific. Been going here for over 5 years. Keep going back.

She had a great setup all outside. Masks on all the time and she did a great job while having a great conversation. You need an appointment first so make sure to call and schedule an appointment.

I feel I'm obligated to leave this review to save your nail from possibly getting a fungus or to save the salon owner from getting fined by the bord of cosmetology.

I newly moved to San Mateo, and visited this salon.

In terms of hygiene, this salon was in a very bad condition and completely against the Board of cosmetology guidelines!
None of the manicure accessories were in sanitizing liquid, which increases the risk of nail fungus.

On the other hand, to speed up her work, the manicurist does not put your hands in soap and water, nor does she agree or allow you to go wash your hands with soap and water!!!

All nail cuticles were cut with a filing device, which should only be used for artificial or acrylic nails, as this can remove up to 3 layers of your nail bed and causes your nail to break from the middle! 2 days passed, my gel manicure started to chip!

When I addressed these issues with Okiki ( I hope the name is spelled correctly), she said she doesn't argue and all her clients like this way.
Please be aware that sanitizing all manicure and pedicure devices ARE A MUST!

Would not recommend for hair styling. I went in for beachy waves, and had called ahead to enquire that the stylist knew how to do this. She said she could do this. When I went in, I also showed her a picture to confirm that we were on the same page. But 10 mins into the appointment it was clear that the stylist had no idea how to do waves, and in fact was struggling to use a regular curling iron. It was hard to look in the mirror and watch her try to figure out how to use a curling iron. I had made this appointment for a family photoshoot later that day, and I will definitely not be going back here. I wish they were honest and could have just said that they do not know how to do it.

Had an amazing experience here!! I got a gel pedicure and from the customer service to the final product was above my expectations. Even a problem nail I have she was able to make look perfect! I would definitely recommend going here it was by far the best pedicure I’ve ever had.

Excellent place to get your nails done! I have been biting my nails for 20 years, and with the help of Oki I now have beautiful long nails! It was seriously bad and embarrassing. Will post photo soon. Wish I had a before picture to show.

1st time here. Ookie (sp?)and Sandy did great on my gel mani and regular pedi. Ookie educated me on how to properly care for my cuticles between visits since mine were split and very dry. We talked and laughed the whole time. I'll be back for sure! I love the nude color Ookie choose for me.
