Great airport in the Gila Valley. The runways are well maintained, and the FBO has a courteous staff. There are good nechanics and avionics facilities at the airport. The downsides are that the airport is located away from town and although there are courtesy vehicles, they're not well maintained.

Safford started charging a landing fee, even for single engine GA planes. It used to be a good airport, but it’s time to take our business elsewhere now. I recommend you do the same. Plenty of other good airports nearby that value GA.

Good condition runways and Apron area, simple original lounge (near flagpole) very nice Ponderosa aviation- FBO with great lounge and pilot services. Honor system snack bar. Reasonable fees for aircraft. (See photos)

Great airport in Eastern Arizona located between Phoenix and Tucson. I've had nothing but good experiences here.

I flew in and out of Safford Airport multiple times a day for about a week. The entire time I was there Ponderosa Aviation was extremely helpful and friendly. They have an exceptionally clean and well equipped FBO and a very good crew car that I was able to use for the weekend. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely go to Ponderosa Aviation.

I have no idea who that crybaby pilot was that made that horrible review but this place is amazing. Every time I go they are helpful, nice, friendly, and bend over backwards for me. Some people need to keep in mind that you get back what you put out there. I wish this was my home airfield cause this FBO is awesome!

Nice field with good runways. Based here for a few days for survey work and worked out great.
