The food is amazing! The prices are fantastic, especially given the large portions of food served. The service was prompt, friendly, and delivered with a smile. Victoria who was our server was warm, professional, charismatic, and was a highlight to our evening. This restaurant is a must if you like Chinese food and are in the area.

Another wonderful experience at Rui's Shanghai Bistro!
Our waitress " Money" was amazing!
She has an awesome personality and was very attentive. She even asked us if we had any dietary restrictions to be sure we ordered food safe for our party.
Our food was delicious and they serve very generous portions.

I was walking around the area and could smell the food from outside and I decided to try it with my partner the next day. I didn't think there could be great Chinese food in Redlands, but this place really changed my mind. The food was delicious and the service was great, honestly can't wait to try other items on the menu. If you're craving Chinese food that's not greasy, then come try this place out. You won't be disappointed.

Came out again and it was just as amazing! They added a sushi menu which I will have to try out next time!

I had such high hopes for this spot. Alas, all we recieved was greasy, soggy food covered in uncooked garlic.

The atmosphere is noisy and a bit chaotic. The cloth seats felt flimsy, and were covered in crusty stains. The table was generally clean.

The service started off excellent. Quick to be seen once seated and we received our beverages promptly. After that, it was exceptionally confusing, as we placed an order for appetizers that all came well after our entrees. We also had to ask for the white rice that was a part of two of our dishes multiple times before receiving it.

As for the food, as mentioned before it all was covered in grease, to the point of being soggy from grease. The tempura green beans “coating” just slid off. The noodles sat in a pool of grease.

The cucumber salad tasted like it was covered in soy sauce, and was quite bitter. The orange chicken was soft and chewy, with no crunchy and absolutely drenched in sauce - contributing to the sogginess. The Chinese broccoli had what tasted like pre-chopped garlic stored in citric acid and then uncooked ladled on the dishes.

All in all, way overpriced for the food and atmospheres. While I’m hopeful it was just an off day for them, I’ll be hard-pressed to go back.

My co-worker, Danny Nanhthadet, put me on to this spot and we finally made it out. The Steamed Dumplings and Shumai were the best tasting items by far, followed by the Salt and Pepper Shrimp, and Broccoli. The rest was okay. The Chicken fried rice was honestly unimpressive. The Short Ribs were fatty and kinda chewy. The service was outstanding. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The decor was tight. We ordered way too much food for lunch. We will be back to try some other dishes out.
