The shop is full of sustainable goods, like refillable shampoo. The soap she has made in Mexico and its mostly organic. I went crazy buying bar soap just to find out it has cocoanut in it, so it made the best mothers days gifts. They are raving about those burro bars. She also has some art and little gifts for sale. Its smells so good in here. The atmosphere is on point. Shop local! Support women owned!

Raices is an adorable little store in South Pasadena with natural shampoos, lotions, and soaps for the hair and body. The owner, Marybel, goes out of her way to explain everything you need to know about her natural products from Mexico. She is delightful and passionate about her products. I came into the store looking for something for my daughter's dry scalp, and I found it in the Carbon Menta soap. My daughter has been using it for almost a year now. It alleviated her issues with an itchy and dry scalp. She won't use any other soap for her hair. I love the cafe, carbon charcoal, and Leche de Burra soap bars. The soap leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. I feel good knowing that I'm using a natural product on my skin. I recommend you stop by Raices to get some natural soaps and shampoo to spoil yourself.

I stumbled across this beautiful little store while I was in south Pasadena after an appointment. I'm so glad I did! I bought a gift for my friend and the owner was so exuberant and helpful and the products all looked and smelled delicious.

I especially was drawn to the soap and ended up buying one for myself, as well. I got the rosemary bar for back and chest acne and it works so well! It lathers smooth, smell wonderful, and it's smoothing out my skin and reducing the acne. I had a pimple on my face the other night so I thought, why not? I put a little of the soap on it, let it sit for a minute or two, and in the morning it was gone! And it's not too drying to use all over my body, either, if I use it for a body wash occasionally. I have dry skin and I find it keeps me feeling fresh and moisturized, not stiff or waxy like some soap can do. I love supporting a woman owned, Mexican business, too! She has a lot of neat "flavors" of soap that I haven't seen elsewhere.

What a wonderful shop to get unique gifts. The shop owner is present and makes every effort to inform her clients about her unique products, their ingredients, and their benefits. Plus the gift boxes are beautiful and earth friendly. I love shopping here.

I was window shopping in the area over the Thanksgiving holiday and found this wonderful shop. The lotions are amazing and I will bring my own container next time to fill up. We bought some candles that have amazing scents. Will be back next time I am in SoPas.

Wonderful products, excellent service. I am so thoroughly pleased with the bar shampoos and conditioners I’ve bought at Raíces. I’ve been trying to purge plastic from my life so I’ve been trying out their various shampoo and conditioner bars. The 2 varieties I’ve tried to smooth hair have been amazing. I’m currently using calendula manzanilla and coco mango bars with great results.
I hope they start shipping their products some day soon.
