Poor quality work. Five nails are broken, two of them very seriously. During the manicure process - the master spoke to her colleagues in her native language - saying bad things about me.

Very rushed and uncomfortable atmosphere. Technician not interested in answering questions and when I saw the color I had picked and said it did not look the same as the bottle, she was just said it would look different on and did not let me switch. Polish not applied to entire nail (had to ask for this and only got one finger fixed) and applied very rushed (from one coat to the next in 20 or so seconds). When I was told to put my hand by a fan, one of my nails touched it and it took me about 5 minutes to be able to tell her, after which she just stacked a blob of nail polish on top of the semi-dry area.

02/05/2020 I lived a block away and was too lazy to drive to Santa Monica Blvd, so I decided to come here and give them another chance.

I was happier with the service this time, but the final result was lacking; my gel manicure chipped off after only five days. A gel manicure is supposed to last for 2-3 weeks.

I walked in without an appointment, and they were not busy at all, so I didn't have to wait. I got a pink gel manicure for $30, which is very reasonable. Any other nail salon in the area will charge you between $35 to $45 for a gel manicure.

Unfortunately, again I noticed their sanitary conditions.
The lady who did my nails didn't wear gloves or wash her hands before taking care of me. The work surface on the manicure table was dirty; I wonder how often they clean it.

Changing your nail color without shaping/filling is way cheaper;
$8 for hands
$10 for feet
And just $20 to change your gel color.
Again, that does not include shaping and filling your nails.

Had zero expectations, walked in after going to the post office, but it was low-key the best manicure I’ve ever had. It’s been two and a half weeks and the gels are still hanging on and looking great. Also they were just the nicest people. Will definitely go back.

Best manicure of my life! I definitely recommend you come here. You will be very happy with the result. I got the French tip in baby pink. The result was amazing!! They cleaned my nails and it looks so cute! Definitely recommend you should come!!!!!!! (Reviewed by my 8-year old daughter who is a very big fan!). I personally love Modern Nail too. The ladies are very sweet.

Professional gas lighters!!! Stay away
Got the pedicure + callus removal for $25 + tip at this place for many(!) times previous couple of months. Today I was told they have NEVER done it for this price even after I showed the manager the transactions in my app. She pretended she didn't recognize me. Hahaha, ok, good job. They wanted to charge me 40% extra for the same damn job out of blue. So basically I just got my feet washed and nail polish removed for this money. Hello, I can do it myself, guys! I was here mainly for callus removal all the time. Professional gas lighters!!! Stay away

They did a good job on my toes but I didn't COMPLETELY feel like they weren't laughing about me in their language. Women already have enough anxiety and I'm autistic. I went there to calm down. I'm not sure if it's worth paying to feel ridiculed and anxious. If they were more mindful of that, then I would be coming back
