I was on vacation so I decided to get a manicure with my mom and sister and had the best experience here! None of us had ever gotten gel before but we would most definitely go back if given the chance. All three of our technicians worked quickly and efficiently but slowed down on the more detailed parts, everything from the shape to the evenness of the gel is perfect. We all got snowflake designs on our ring fingers and they look amazing, our technicians would wipe it away until they got it right and the effort shows with how detailed and precise each one is. I believe there’s been a change in ownership recently or a change of name, but I’m not 100% sure which it is. The chairs were brand new and comfortable, everyone was professional and very kind. 10/10, would recommend.

I recently started getting acrylics again and it has taken me six months to find someone who did a professional and beautiful job. So grateful I finally found Amy at Mingee's!! I had stopped coming here (for regular mani/pedis) after the change in ownership, but I tried every other nail tech in San Clemente, and I couldn't find anyone who didn't put ugly, fat suburban, acrylic monsters on my fingers. So glad I gave the shop another try because I met Amy - she earned my business back for them. She's a true professional who takes pride in her work, which is perfect because I wear her work.

Unfortunately I didn't get anyone's name but the owner and ladies working at Mingees are all very talented. They have a great selection of colors and techniques, and the owner is very knowledgeable of the best practices in the industry. I received very personalized service and an extremely high quality gel manicure. I can highly recommend Mingees. I'm also so impressed that now two weeks later my nails are still pristine though I've been doing a lot of house work etc

New owners have raised prices, but they finally have new chairs.

Update: they have new chairs, but they're not much more comfortable than the old broken-down ones. And the price increase is not worth it. I'm very local, but I can get my nails done just as well for less money while I am out around OC.

My prediction is that this will be a tourist only business until it goes out of business.

Honestly one of the worst manicures I’ve ever gotten. Also this place will continuously try to sell you on extra services. Literally a lady came up to me during my manicure and told me my eyebrows looked horrible and that I needed to get them done. But as for the manicure itself, I seriously can’t believe I wasted my money here. I told the really sweet woman doing my nails that I didn’t want shaping, and she proceeded to use the cuticle cutter to shape my nails into the most uneven, worst shape. My nails feel so weird because she cut the sides off in an attempt to make them pointy? Also, the paint job is sloppy and uneven as you can see in the third picture. Paint on my skin and my nails are already chipping not even a day later! I’m so disappointed in this manicure.

I had my gel manicure here before my trip to the UK. They lasted the entire 14 day trip, and then some! Very impressed with the quality of the manicure/pedicure. Some places just rush through and don't actually care about cleaning up your cuticles. This place did. My only suggestion: Slap a coat of new paint on the walls and add some artwork onto the walls to create a more relaxed environment. I will definitely be returning.
