Edit: response to the owner. The picture showing the nasty bits that filled My tacos speaks for itself That is not chopped chicken meat. It's throw away trim and throw away scraps. I got four or five bad meals in a row before posting this. There's other customers that simply won't say anything and never come back.

My go to place once or twice a week has driven me away. Way too many times I get inconsistent food that is sub par. they need to start weighing portions. Too much disgusting bone fat skin busting my teeth. Just got taco Tuesday street tacos and the absurdly small amounts of chicken that was third rate trim. This should not happen. I was a guaranteed once or twice a week customer. I just ate so much unmentionable unidentifiable gross filling in a simple street taco. Someone preparing this must have known it was not a quality offering. Small bits of fat skin, fistful of onions and cilantro. No meat no guac. If its a Tuesday special for tacos then raise the price before serving something lower than taco bell. I simply cannot ever do this again. Sometimes amazing, but those are way too far apart now. Three or four absolute disappointments in a row and now one that went to my dogs. I will just make my own going forward. Its one minute from my house and was so convenient but its sad when you have to walk away from food establishments. I do hope the best for them. Its just not for me. CHICKEN IS CHEAP why serve up scraps and awful for chicken? I just got 4 tacos of skin and trim. I have never seen this before. Someone preparing the food should NEVER let anything leave the restaurant like this. Last week it was really gross grey carne asada that tasted boiled and had zero flavor or seasoning. Im out.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at Los Jilbertos in Menifee off McCall. First off, the food was just plain bad—bland, greasy, and nothing like authentic Mexican food. The flavors were off, the meat was dry, and it was clear that quality was not a priority here.

But what really ruined the experience was the owner. Instead of taking honest feedback like a professional, he got defensive and tried way too hard to prove himself. It was clear he has a huge ego and can't handle criticism. A good restaurant owner listens to customers and makes improvements, not argues with them.

And if you’ve ever read his responses to negative reviews, you know what I mean—he's clearly relying on Google Translate, and the responses barely make sense. If you're going to run a business, at least make an effort to communicate properly instead of posting robotic, awkward replies that only make things worse.

Save your time, your money, and your taste buds. If the owner can’t take feedback well from its customers. This place will slowly run out of business . The tacos across the street from street vendors are better.

This is the second time I've ordered a breakfast burritos and it's packed with only potatoes and bacon. It had no eggs. It's a shame because when they first opened, I was amazed on how great the breakfast burritos were. I won't be going there anymore unfortunately.

Los Jilbertos Taco Shop is hands down one of the best Mexican fast food spots around, and my wife and I can't get enough of it! From the asada and pastor fries to the burritos, tacos, and taquitos, every dish is packed with flavor and made to order with high-quality meats and fresh ingredients. The portions are generous, and they never skimp on the hot sauce, which is a huge plus! On top of the amazing food, the staff is always friendly, adding to the overall great experience. In a time where everything seems to be getting more expensive, Los Jilbertos still offers great prices without compromising on quality, making it our go-to spot for a satisfying, affordable meal. Highly recommended!
