Kachina has been a staple in our family for decades. Whenever one of us comes back into town we must visit Kachina. Like many others we were grieved to hear that their location had changed. However, after several visits here since the move I still rank this as a must visit when in Flagstaff.

To begin with the staff is super friendly and helpful. I did notice some reviews mentioning that it can be slow. However, we noticed that they give us space to eat and enjoy the conversation. It is almost a European feel. They will serve you but occasionally you might need to wave them down.

I am a big fan of their margaritas. I've never had a bad one here yet. My latest visit was probably one of the best margaritas I have ever consumed.

This visit we ordered the shredded beef nachos, taco salad, and quesadilla. It is definitely nothing fancy but it is delicious! If you have space after delighting yourself in the generous portions of their entrees I would suggest finishing off the meal with a homemade sopapilla with honey.

You will not be disappointed visiting here if you come hungry and with a little patience.

It’s been years since I’ve had Kachina and first time at the new location. It was not the same. We went for lunch and first off, they were out of shredded beef. So most of the things on the menu did not seem appealing. The atmosphere had more of a bar feel than a restaurant. Once we ordered, service was slow. We practically had to wave someone down every time we needed something. The salsa was watery and the rice was hard. It’s just not as good as it used to be.

Amazing food! The house Margarita is the best one I've ever had! There are two different songs playing from different genres at all times, but other than that it was a great experience!

The food was unimpressive.
I ordered enchiladas combo. I think their tortillas taste like melted plastic. So I emptied out the rest of the enchiladas and ate only the inside meat and fillings and it wasn’t bad.
The rice was yuck. Beans tasted okay.
I commend their music selection and festive ambiance.
I won’t return; there are other places in Flagstaff with better Mexican fare.

Excellent... one of the two best (LaFonda the other) in Flagstaff. Closer to my house, so we go here more frequently. Great Food.

Stopped in for lunch after a work meeting. Was told when being seated that they were out of rice and beans. Ok, went and Dat down anyway. Waiter came by, he was nice and welcoming. Ordered 2 ground beef enchiladas and a chile relleno. Waiter came back 2 minutes later and said they were out of chile relleno . Was disappointed, but ordered an extra enchilada. Food was mediocre at best. Worst part was the 3 item combo plate was $13, but was charged an extra $2 per enchilada for having meat. In total, the 3 enchilada plate, minus rice and beans, was $19. Absolutely ridiculous. I will definitely never go here again.

Used to be great, food sucks, service sucks. They don't have food half the time, which is weird because it's restaurant I think. The only Mexican restaurant I've ever been to that's out of primary ingredients, unfortunately this reflects back to management or the lack of. Consumer beware, the only thing worthwhile is the beer because they didn't make it. The restaurant should just close down, better quality Mexican food can be found from street vendors.

Went there for lunch. Was greated and sat at the bar. Ordered a beer and received it promptly. Then ordered my food. Wait 30 minutes for my food it came out and I ask for salsa. My beer was empty by now no way to ask the bartender for another since he was more interested in being on his phone then serving me. Wait 20 minutes no salsa no beer. Told the kid I was no paying for the food since I didn't eat anything. Paid for my beer and left. Everyone else got chips and salsa. I was never ask if I wanted some which is okay. But my plate was cold food was cold. Last time I ever go here.
