Have been going to this nail salon for years now, and everyone here does an amazing job! They do fantastic with design requests, easily the best of any nail salon I've been to! Very talented group, always super happy with the results!

I have always enjoyed going to Jay & Jessie’s place - they do an awesome job with their salon. I recently tried a new type of gel, called hybrid gel or poly gel, that is better for natural nails. My nail technician was very helpful by listening to my preferences and making sure I was happy with them before I left. Highly recommend!

I had some trouble finding good nail spas in Birmingham when I first moved here. While many had 4+ stars, my full set was always uneven, lumpy, etc. Finally when I went to Jay Nails, they gave me a perfect full set. Now they’re my go-to! Never been anywhere else after my first visit with them. While they may be more on the expensive side, I prefer to do my nails the right way rather than waste money on a bad service.

*sigh* I don't like to give negative reviews but my experience wasn't good so I have to share.

First the good: clean place, they accepted walk-ins.

The bad: I wanted some colorful French tips, I was told they would only do it in shellac and that would be 30-40 more. So I decided to just pick some colors. Because I wanted more than one color they charged me extra. The person that did my nails was also the front desk person so every time the phone rang or someone came in they'd get up from doing my nails to do that.

The ugly: I asked for a mani, I didn't get my cuticles pushed back, any dead skin removed, etc, just the acrylics and color. The acrylic powder is super thick and bumpy, it feels like my nails are gonna break in half. They told me to avoid wetting my hands for 2-3 hours. It's been 6 hours, they're already chipping and it feels like they're not fully dry somehow. There's acrylic powder dried up under my nails.

I'm truly bummed out because it was my birthday present from my MIL and now I have ugly nails for my birthday.

Jay Nails is THE BEST! My tride & true. Been going here for about 7 years and they always o the best job. Danny is the best. Always so detailed and takes the time to really make my nails look amazing. The staff is great & it is so clean and calm in there. Go to Jays you will not regret it
