Mandi is fantastic! I had been getting haircuts at a less expensive salon on the other side of SCV. The cuts were $30 but after a week they wouldn't lay right. Can't wait to do color and highlights!!

I've been seeing Mandy for over a year now for a cut, color, and highlights every month. She is terrific and a color genius. She subtly lightens and darkens my color for the seasons. Since my work schedule is erratic and am now a regular, I can text her to check on last minute availability if I'm unable to call the salon because it is closed. The receptionists are polite, efficient, and return calls promptly if a schedule needs to be checked. Also, I love the jewelry they have for sale at the front and the clothing in the back. I recently purchased a bracelet for $12 and later saw the same bracelet in the Annie Selke catalog for $35.

Been going there for a couple of years but have been going to the same hairdresser for years. Everyone is friendly. The salon has some great jewelry and fun clothing.

UPDATED RESPONSE: Janelle, I don't think it was reasonable to charge me for the toner when even you were surprised by the actual outcome. If you were surprised when the toner didn't affect my original color, then you weren't expecting that result. And if you didn't expect that, then you couldn't have warned me when we were discussing expectations.

I came in not wanting any color at all, but you encouraged me to get a toner. You told me to expect a darker color from the toner with possible blue tint that would gradually fade. You said the color would stick better after the Cezanne. We talked about how the Cezanne would lighten my hair to possibly orange, and you sounded confident that you could neutralize the orange and gold with blue. You didn't say that the toner may not change my color at all.

If you had told me that the toner may not be that effective that day and that I might get a better result if I waited a couple weeks, then I definitely wouldn't have spent over $100 on a toner service. I would have just waited a few days then applied a semi-permanent at home for $6. But you didn't mention that possibility until after you applied the toner when your coworker told you that she waited two weeks after Cezanne to color her client.

At that point, you said you could try toning again but you'd have to charge me additional, which didn't seem fair to me. I saw that you were disappointed, surprised, and taken aback by the result, and you sincerely apologized. So I appreciate that.

But I don't agree with telling me to expect one thing, getting a completely unexpected outcome, then charging me for a service that I wasn't even interested in initially. It seems dishonest and misleading to me.
