I pick up and drop load here many times. Very friendly and good staff . Sometimes loaded my trailer in 15 minutes. Mostly Two guys work here LEO and JORGE very fast load and unload . And also they both are very friendly .

Appointment only for pick up. Usually about 10 trucks ahead of you but there’s about 5 people loading so it’s pretty quick.

I have picked up at this place for over 10 years for ABC. It used to be so easy to get an appointment and get loaded in less that 1 hr. Now it is the worst place to pick up at in the Kern County area. Talking with the guards and loaders they some new computer that is broken every freaking day. The guard people can never see my information, they are out of product, or the system is broken and they simply cannot load my truck. IT TAKES OVER 3 hrs to get loaded at this facility now. I'm not the only trucker that feels this way. Many guys do not want to touch GAF with a 100 ft pole. This is a perfect example of companies over complicating things. In the old days this place was so pleasant load at. UNTIL THEY GET THEIR JUNK FIXED I WILL NOT BE LOADING HERE. I HAVE EVEN TOLD ABC BAKERSFIELD THIS AS WELL!!! AND I'M NOT THE ONLY DRIVER EVEN THEIR EMPLOYEES FEEL THIS WAY.

ATTENTION FLAT BEDS!!!

They will load you upwards of 48k Minimum 12 pallets (48k plus). I have less than half a tank and drive a peterbilt, which is, on average, heavier than other semi trucks. I explained that to them, but they wouldn't go down a pallet considering what I told them. They told me to take it or leave it, so be aware of that. If you weigh more than 32k empty, consider coming here. I don't know about you, but I don't want to pay a 5k overweight ticket for a 2-3k load. It doesn't make sense. Full disclosure, I took the load but now I'm constantly going to have to drive empty and fuel very frequently so my two day trip is going to become a 3 day trip and I am still at risk of getting a ticket so I will have to scale before scales and hopefully I don't get to the point where I have to pump out diesel just to be in compliance with weight.

On another note, the place is good. Loading is fast, the place is very well maintained (clean), the staff is nice, and about everything else is great but unfortunately that doesn't outweigh the biggest problem in trucking which is being in compliance with weight standards imposed by the department of transportation and that's why I give it a 2 star rating. Other than that, this place definitely deserves a 5 star rating.
