This review is long overdue. After a disappointing experience at Nigel Beauty Emporium, where they tried to make me feel less as a minority woman, sized up and down once entering, I was reminded of the outstanding service I received at Friends Beauty during an accidental visit. The ladies at Friends Beauty were kind, genuinely helpful, and made me feel like a star. They went above and beyond to assist me with purchasing hair for my sister’s business, always ready to help. Also, Friends Beauty was such a clean and beautiful atmosphere.

While Nigel is closer and may seem cheaper, the unmatched, high-class experience at Friends Beauty has made it my go-to choice as our business grows and for all personal needs.

I’ve visited this store already a few times, they provide all kind of hair and makeup supply of the top beauty brands for industry professionals! Every staff member I’ve met in this store so far was super friendly and interested in helping me to find the right products BUT GEORGE is the absolute best! He is always there to find the perfect product and even makes you feel like a friend, gives time and room to explore the whole Sortiment! 100% recommended!

Came here a week ago, bought over $300 worth of makeup. Was recommended a powder that was a shade two dark. As home soon as I got home realized that not only was it two dark, it was slightly cracked. Today, I tried to exchange it. Manager wouldn't allow the exchange, she insinuated I dropped it. I'm extremely upset over the poor customer service. I wasn't even trying to get a refund, just simply wanted to get even exchange. It's a shame that this place is five minutes away from me. I'm seriously disillusioned because I read mostly good reviews about them. I guess I'll be taking my money somewhere else even if I have to drive a little farther for good customer service.

Who is NOT using this place They have everything you could need, and the staff is always incredibly helpful.

The only thing I would offer to them is for the staff to mention why they're providing a free sample of something. (LOVE the free samples!!) I came home, and realized I had a sample for under eye serum. Did they see something in me that needed attention? At checkout, I'd prefer a quick consultation on what I might need, and that would lead me to buy that in the future. Giving me a random product without explanation yields nothing.

Fumbling your way through doing your own hair color? The color specialist here was soooo amazing! Honest and straight forward, guiding me though the process. It’s like having a friend who’s done this for ages, understands what can be hacked at home, and what you really need to go to a pro for and why.

Loyal to what you’re trying to do vs the typical “official sales clerk” which we all know and is not what we’re looking for. This kind of sale person engenders way more connection and loyalty to a store.

And yes, the store is really big (took over 2 store spaces on the block), and they have all kinds of product range. Kid in a candy store!

Yes it’s a bit out of the way but that lets then have a massive space with really the broadest selection I’ve ever seen in a beauty supply store (ok there was one in NYC 😉

This is why we live in cities…to have fantastic in-person places that get us through our pet projects😊

I just had to share how amazing this makeup store is. As a makeup artist I’ve shopped around a few makeup stores but when I discovered frends I fell in love. They are not only really helpful but also very organized and genuinely care. I placed a last minute online order for a job I had and they not only did it in a hurry but also worked with me in making sure I had everything I needed to complete the job. Anthony was very helpful in making sure I had everything I needed for a makeup light I needed and went above and beyond with his customer service. He was super nice and helpful in explaining the situation but still made it work. I will definitely be making this my new go to store!
