I don’t know how I missed this salon. I have been to many nail salons in Folsom and this was by far the best gel mani/pedi. (Get the milk and honey ? pedi!).?I will definitely be back. Tommy and all the staff are super friendly too.

Mimi does a great job on my gel builder sets! She’s quick and has a great eye for details, the shape is always on point. Everyone who has done a pedicure for me and my boyfriend has done a fantastic job too. The location is also newly renovated, pedicure chairs give great massages, and the pedicurists give thorough massages as well. They provide water for adults and capri suns for little ones. They were friendly to my small well behaved dog as well and let her sit with me through my services. Definitely will be back!

Such a great experience! I called around 3:00pm on a Sunday & they got me in fast! Reasonable prices & they take time on your nails to make them look nice. Definitely recommend Essence Nails & Spa!

I make an effort to not post overwhelmingly negative reviews. So let me start with positives: prices are decent, some employees are very sweet and gentle and amazing.
Now the negative: it does not seem I had the luck of receiving a gentle one. I received a pedicure and when I got home after a painful experience I found blood along three of my toes. None of my party had this issue and many people I know that frequent this place have had nothing but amazing experience, hence why I still provided 3 stars. I’m not sure it’s fair to judge the whole salon on one tech but I cried out in pain so they are likely aware who this tech is and she should have some retraining.
I get pedicures pretty consistently and while I do have hx of ingrown nails on the greater toes, that doesn’t explain the other two toes with blood.
I did not notice the blood till I was home so I did not speak to them about it, which is on me. It is very possible they would make an effort to make things right but I’ll just return to my usual place.
