To the lady who did my nails Thursday in booth 3, you really hurt both of my thumbs. You went in too deep with that cuticle trimmer. My thumbs are painful and raw. You guys have to stop cutting into the cuticle like you do and pay attention that thats skin you’re working with not a fake hand. Also, manicure and nail shaping FIRST before dip powder, not last. Attention to detail is a must. If you want my money, you have to do better. All of you. Dont do nails if you don’t care about people’s nail health.

The service here is horrible. They used to be good, but have lost their professionalism and patience overtime. I took my mom to get a pedicure as a gift — the lady doing her nails was EXTREMELY rude. Told my mom she didn’t have the right toenails for a French tip and refused to a do it if it wasn’t her way or the colors she suggested. My mom asked her if could scrub her heel as there were missing patches. The lady said no because it was “too much work”.

Oh, Dahliana Nails: A Masterclass in How NOT to Run a Business

Wow, where do I even start? Dahliana Nails in San Mateo truly exceeded all my expectations—just not in the way you’d hope. I had the pleasure of making an appointment for a mani and pedi, only to be graced with a lovely 30+ minute wait past my scheduled time. Because, of course, my time isn’t nearly as valuable as theirs.

Once I was finally seated for my pedicure, I was informed—midway through—by the manager (or someone who’s really good at pretending to be one) that my desired manicure set couldn’t be done. Why? Oh, because they simply “didn’t have the time.” Amazing! It’s not like I booked the appointment specifically for this or anything.

Running short on time myself due to their incredible efficiency, I had to settle for a basic nail paint job. And let me tell you, it was a masterpiece of mediocrity. Streaks, unevenness, and a total lack of effort—it’s like they were auditioning for a role in How to Ruin a Manicure in 5 Minutes or Less.

But wait, the best part was yet to come! The warmth and hospitality of the staff were truly unmatched. I’ve never felt so unwelcome in a place that’s supposed to cater to customers. Everyone I spoke to had an attitude that screamed, “Why are you even here?” And when it came time to pay, the manager casually ignored me like I was invisible. A kind soul from the back office eventually came out to take my payment (because, apparently, I wasn’t leaving until I handed over my hard-earned cash).

Oh, and the cherry on top? All of this luxury service cost me $110. Yes, you read that right—$110 to be treated like an inconvenience, rushed out the door, and left with nails that look like I did them myself in the dark.

So, if you’re looking for a place to waste your time, money, and patience while being treated like trash, Dahliana Nails is absolutely the spot for you. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

I got acrylics and it was my first time and first time doing acrylic nails from them. The turn out was good but the removal of the acrylics was horrible. The person DID NOT use any acetone to soak or remove my nails. Not one drop of acetone was used. Removals cost $15 and the fact that acetone wasn’t used is appalling. Instead, only a nail clipper and a piece of an unused acrylic nail was used to remove my nails. The process was so harsh on my nails that one of it was lifted up a little and it tore my skin at the bottom of my nails. It was slightly bleeding and all she did was put a thin layer of acrylic paste to “patch” it up on my middle finger. Needles to say that it was a painful experience for my first time getting acrylics and the removal of them.

They are very rude . The lady who did my manicure was yelling at me because I told her all my nails had bubbles. The owner didn’t even care how their employees treat their customers. Very disappointed

Im obsessed with my nails!! I finally found a place where I am completely satisfied. I will not lie it is a little pricey i paid $165 without tip for my full set and pedicure but i feel like it was worth it. Will definitely come again. They were busy so i was there for awhile im sure that is preventable.

I broke a nail and they refused to fix it unless I got a refill. I just got a refill 4 days ago so I don't need one. So they wouldn't fix my one nail

I’m getting really tired of Bay Area businesses charging so much for sub-par services.
The place smells very strongly, they need to add more ventilation. While they were able to seat me as a walk-in, I was not satisfied with the gel manicure I received. They should have added an extra layer, but they didn’t, so the final nails look patchy. They charged $40 for this.
I did not tip.
