When I took my first bite of the “Hot Honey Comb,” I immediately understood why this spot is so highly rated. It’s now at the top of my list of favorite ice cream spots.

Food: The portions are incredibly generous—one scoop was piled high, almost overflowing. The ice cream itself was a perfect blend of savory, salty, sweet, fluffy, and creamy. It managed to pack every positive ice cream adjective into one scoop.

Service: The staff was attentive and sociable, especially if you’re up for a chat. One of the owners was there, and you could feel the pride in his work and the freshness of the product, all made in-house.

Atmosphere: It’s primarily a grab-and-go spot. There’s a single bench that seats about three people, but it’s really designed for takeout.

Overall: This is a must-visit spot, even if it’s a bit out of the way. The unique flavors add a sense of novelty to every visit and have raised the bar for what I expect from ice cream.

I was super full from a huge dinner but my daughter wanted ice cream which I fully intended to abstain from until I saw the flavour options which we were also allowed to sample. We went for caramel apple fritter and hot chocolate with m&ms and pretzels which felt really festive and fun. Very yummy

The workers we met were so lovely and kind and the ice cream incredible to match! I really appreciated their generosity in these uncertain times after coming out of LA because of the fires. Cherry chocolate flavor is bomb!!!!!

This is the best ice cream i ever had in my life
My brain melted with the first spoon of salted toffee, that ice cream is a national treasure.
This ice cream has the super power of spark joy and quite possibly initiate global peace treaties.
Life is good when i have my toffee ice cream from Cuso’s.

It was our first time in Santa Barbara, and we didn't know if we should pick the chain ice cream shop that was closer to our hotel...or walk an extra ten minutes to the cute small shop Cuso's. We're so glad that we walked!! Not only was the ice cream delicious with wonderfully unique flavors, but the people working there were so friendly. We were taking refuge in SB from LA and their kindness really made our day. Also, it's a nice walk, and right next to a cute little movie theater. Next time we'll do an ice cream + movie combo. We'll be back!!
