From the second the nurse practitioner stepped into the exam room I had the feeling I was really badly bothering her. I told her I caught a glimpse of new spots on my back in the mirror. I said since they were on my back I could not make them out very well and they may be nothing at all. I had previously had skin cancer removed twice by surgery I told her so I was concerned. She touched spots on my back three times and asked if I was concerned about them. Each time I answered since I couldn’t see them I was concerned about all of them. I didn’t know what part of I couldn’t see them she didn’t understand. She then sprayed two of the spots with something. I asked why she was doing this and I received an answer I did not understand but I thought best not to ask for a better explanation.
I then pointed out a spot on my chin that I thought started as an ingrown hair from using an electric razor. She said she needed to biopsy it which I was grateful for. She said I would get results in ten days. This seemed extremely long in this day and age.
She then asked if I wanted her to schedule a complete body exam. I thought a dermatologist would do this as part of any new patient exam especially one with a history of skin cancer. I did have a concern about a condition on my legs. I guess she needed to get to the patients in the empty waiting room to do a body exam.
You decide if you want to be treated at this facility. It was a terrible experience for me. She really doesn’t want to be bothered anyway.

Took me even early. Dr. May Chhun examined my entire body for abnormal growths. All looking good. I see her every 6 months for this checkup. She has a very keen eye, is thorough in her exam, knowledgeable, and very kind. I followed her to her new location in Roseville. One of my best doctors.

Berman Skin Institute is a professional, efficient practice. I was able to see a doctor within 5 days after I called to book an appointment. Dr Lily Park was my physician. She was very attentive. She asked probing questions to determine my symptoms and she listened to my answers without interrupting me. She gave me 2 options to resolve my skin condition and explained possible side effects. I have immediately noticed an improvement in my condition. I would heartily recommend Berman skin institute to all my friends and family.

Went in for a preventative skin exam, which is 100% covered under our ins plan. Was in and out in 5 minutes with no issues discovered. A month later, I received a bill from them for "lesion removal" and other charges. No lesion was removed, and no other procedure was done. The only time the physicians asst touched me was to look through my scalp. I assumed that a innocent mistake was made so I contacted them to let them know that their billing was incorrect. They said that they'd call me back. Never did. I called them again the next month and this time they said that they would not correct the billing. Either they are reckless with their billing, or they are adding codes to their billing to increase profits.

I came here for a consult for facial scars and met with Nancy. She was super standoffish and not helpful - anything I said she just shot idown weirdly. I mentioned I was getting facial prp and she said my clients love it the next day but after that it doesn’t really do much like why do you even do what you do then? Everyone else was very friendly and helpful but I came there specifically to discuss subcision which they say they offer on their site but don’t. I would have to go all the way to the Walnut Creek location for that. Also they ask you to put your credit card info down on paperwork which I’ve never experienced before and they don’t tell you that you might have to pay a 200 consult fee depending on what type of consult it is. I’ve never experienced that either and I have a lot of experience with cosmetic procedures. Overall it was a huge waste of time to go here and I did not like how I was treated by Nancy.

I called to set an appointment and was able to schedule it for 3 days later. I showed up a half hour early and they saw me immediately and went to work on my skin issues without making me wait or come back where most physicians and institutions tend to maximize their income by making you wait and doing very little with many visits. I didn't expect the prompt care I received. I feel my needs were met by an experienced staff that didn't waste any time and knew exactly what was best for me. My entire visit took 45 minutes and I received treatment that I thought would have taken 3 or 4 visits. Nancy Cote was great. I'm very impressed!

I've had multiple appointments at this Roseville location. To start, parking is easily available, and the building restroom is always clean. All staff have been prompt, polite and welcoming. A courtesy beverage dispensing machine helps to make the lobby comfortable, but any wait has been short. May, my treatment PA seems to know her stuff and takes care to accurately apply treatment only where needed.
