Henry was quick, professional and overall the vibe of the salon was amazing. Employees were actually smiling and seemed to be happy at work. Most salons employees are miserable and quiet. Not here! Good pricing too. Overall one of the best experiences I have had in a long time!

This was my first time trying a nail salon in San Clemente and the first time I got my nails done here Lisa did an amazing job doing my dip manicure. I came back in today (a week after) to fix a nail I hit with a hammer. Mind you I needed only my thumb done, it took an hour and a half and 3 tries of her wiping and drilling the product off to get it right (mediocre at best). Not only that, she filed my thumb down at least half of the length it was. So not only did I waste an hour and a half of my life, but I now have 9 long nails and 1 short thumb (embarrassing)

I’ve been coming here for over years and the service has gone completely downhill. I will not be back and I’m honestly so disappointed, They are not friendly. I took my 2 year old daughter here to get her first manicure and the nail tech Hannah was borderline aggressive and definitely not friendly to us. I've been a loyal customer for over two years. Last month was my last straw. One of the nail techs told me I waited too long. Well, excuse me, sir. I have 2 jobs and 3 little kids to take care of, and my husband is an active duty marine. I was exhausted from work. All I wanted was some relaxing quiet time while getting my nails done. I felt rushed, not to mention my nails didn't last as long as they used to. Also, I fell judged when I want a nail design or two. Those pictures of clients' nails they so-called post, I highly doubt it. They can barely make the designs look like the picture. Stop making your clients feel uncomfortable. Vdara Nails has my service now. They take their time and the prices are more affordable.

I brought in a nail inspiration photo for my acrylic set and walked out with exactly what I asked for. Technician was very gentle and gave clear instructions. Staff friendly. They have drinks and snacks which was awesome. I’ve come here twice I plan on returning.

Be careful, they will try to charge you for services not requested. Always monitor what they are doing. Also, if you hate lumpy, thick nails (like I do), then just stay away. I live in Newport so decided to cheat on my nail salon with this one while I was down here…. Lesson learned. Will never be happening again.

I came in with my usual nails (gel x). I had finally grown my natural nails underneath to where I want them to be. Decided taking off my gel x and simply painting over them with gel polish would be easy enough. NOPE.

I was recommended dip over my natural nails to thicken so they were less fragile. Totally understandable and appreciated the offer. Definitely a good suggestion for some people. Personally though, I can’t stand dip on my nails because it makes them thick. I said no and thought that would be the end of it. All during the process of taking my gel x off I was given slightly passive aggressive comments like “wow your nails are so long and thin.” Thank you, I know, that’s exactly how I want them. I was then offered dip again, which I declined. Then my nails were shaped and filed and without even asking I was just told “I’m going to do dip so they don’t break.” I was told this as my finger was being dipped in the powder… despite declining twice already. I chose to just go with it since I was told they would only do a single layer to keep it natural. They are the opposite of natural though. I came in with my exact length I wanted which took weeks of gel x protection to get, and left with short, stubby nails that are way too thick.

Honestly my mistake for trusting another salon, so I would not be writing this review if it wasn’t for what happened next. After my gel polish had dried the tech just started putting chrome on my nails without permission! Luckily, I have got chrome before. I know exactly what it is and how much it costs. I decided to play dumb when I asked what it was. I was told it COMES WITH my nail color. I said “oh wow really what colors does this come with. It’s so pretty.” The reply was “It comes with all colors if you want it to.” And eventually with follow up questions it came out that its $15 extra. There it is! Just so happens the dip is also $15 extra.

This place shoves services on you even if you make it clear you don’t want it. I had my tech take off the chrome and when paying insisted they take off the dip. When I asked how much extra dip was they said $15, as I said before. Somehow I only got $8 off the manicure though? Doesn’t even matter it’s not the money it’s the principle. Never have I gotten a service where I felt so taken advantage of. They just hope you know nothing about nails and try to see how far they can drive up your price. Please do not trust them if they insist you need something. I will be going to my regular salon this weeekend and removing the dip and hopefully salvaging the length which they destroyed.

I absolutely love this place. Amy always makes sure that all customers are happy. Henry is the one who does my nails and he always comes through on all my designs I want. Pedicures are amazing. I really love this place and I have been coming for over 4 years now. Sonny is great too they all are
