Stopped in for sun screen (lotion) and wooden dowels. Good selection on dowels. Store barely opened and clerk (45 yrs?) was on his knees stocking shelves. I asked for sun screen, he told me the aisle and I went and saw it was screen, to block the sunlight to a window.

I turned to leave and he was right there. He had followed me the entire store just to make sure I found the spot. Didn’t have what I wanted, but what great customer service!

Senior day discount. Beware if you purchase something then bring it back next day to purchase product made by same company , same price. They will credit price paid on senior day. Ace did not do an even exchange therefore you loose your discount and have to pay full price. Not much money but for seniors on a budget every penny counts. Plus Manger was not very nice, out right rude jerk. He should be fired.
I will not be giving this small town store any more of my business. True Value Hardware is a small business and just down the street. Lots of places to get my business. Even Lowe’s or Home Depot big box stores are better than Ace.

Please do not waste your time with this ACE Hardware store. Every time I come in for something, I have an associate following me through the store asking if I need assistance with finding something. Literally following me. When I am looking at irrigation fittings, the hall monitor of an associate is standing 3 FEET AWAY from me watching me and follows me out of the aisle. Treating all guests with suspicion does not create an environment conducive to commerce. Helpful, hardly. Suspicious, absolutely.

"Customer Service" aside, the store has some good products. I would recommend shopping at another hardware store.

People who work there are always nice and friendly. They had closed the store pretty earlier though. My husband ordered some tool online in the store and called us when it was ready to pick up. They don't have a lot of collections but overall the experience was wonderful.
