Check-in experience was great and everyone is welcoming and friendly. My technician, Katya, is a total professional and did an amazing job with my nails. Very beautiful, accurate, and perfect. One of my nails is recovering from an injury and Katya didn’t hesitate and made sure to clean it up so it won’t cause further injury (and even made it pretty). Thank you, ladies!

This is the best Russian pedicure nail salon in the San Francisco bay area. The attention to detail is unmatched compared to other places. They also seem to use high-quality and clean tools. It is by appointment only so no walk ins but it's worth the wait. For a Russian-style manicure/pedicure this is top notch

This place has very pleasant feeling when you walk in. The owner seems to be paying a lot attention in cleanliness and sanitation. The stylists pay a lot of attention to customer. I usually get plain manicure and it lasts for a very long time. I got mine done about 4 weeks ago and they still look great! I strongly recommend this place!

For those who, like me, are not yet familiar with this salon and found it via Google, this was my first experience:

- This is VERY different than most pedicures. There is no soaking basin, because the service is performed completely dry. Later learned via overhearing a phone call that this is a Russian technique. Their method is not explained on their website, so a brand-new customer will have no way of knowing what to expect. Those who have never experienced this style of pedicure before will find it quite different and surprising.

- There is a time investment. While my pedicure was very thorough and the cuticles do look great, it took TWO HOURS. It was very unexpected to be sitting there so long.

- They do not take appointments by phone. Online bookings only. (Only learned this by overhearing a phone call.)

- Given that it's approx. twice the price of other salons, this wasn't a spa-like experience for feeling relaxed and pampered. Unless it was purely perfunctory, I was barely spoken to by any staff, and my nail tech gave almost zero eye contact. At the very least, it would have been nice to be asked if I'd been there before, or had this style of pedicure before.

The salon is bright, clean and tidy, and the end result is a very well-executed pedicure. However, the overall experience did not inspire me to want to return.

I came to this salon specifically for Katya. I saw the manicure she did on my friend’s hands, got her contact, and made an appointment. Even though I live in Texas, as soon as I came to CA, I signed up with Katya and managed to get both a manicure and pedicure done not just once but three times. Highly recommend. Vale Salon— all the specialists are masters at what they do.

Amazing quality European-style service! Prepare to have your cuticles worked and pampered. The gel manicures will last for weeks without chips or lifting! Definitely make time to come to your appt- this is not your typical, cheap and quick in-out type of place. They take their time to really prep the nail bed and then tediously apply the polish. Worth every penny, because quality speaks for itself! Super clean and chic salon! Once you get a manicure here once, you’ll be hooked!
