I had a fantastic visit to Handel's Ice Cream recently, and I can’t stop raving about it! The ice cream selection is phenomenal, featuring an array of unique flavors that are both delightful and refreshing. I tried the salted caramel and was blown away by how creamy and flavorful it was!

What made my experience even better was the exceptional service from Olivia. She greeted me with a warm smile and took the time to explain the flavors, making recommendations based on my preferences. Her enthusiasm was contagious, and she truly made me feel valued as a customer.

To sum it all up, Handel's Ice Cream is a must-visit, and Olivia’s outstanding customer service sets the bar high. I can't wait to come back and try more flavors! Highly recommend!

What a fabulous addition to the Fair Oaks/Citrus Heights area. My son works at a ice cream shop nearby and although I like their ice cream, I LOVE Handles. The location itself is very easy to get to, lots of parking, a very large shop with a separate room that can be sectioned off for private parties. The shop is nice and bright with electronic menu boards. However, the boards are a bit high (near the ceiling) and it was very difficult to read the flavors due to the small print. Otherwise, we love, love, love the ice cream. It is creamy and smooth. It is also not too sweet. The ice cream scooping staff was super nice. Once again, great addition and welcome to the neighborhood.

My daughter and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Handel's Ice Cream in Citrus Heights, and it was an experience to remember! The selection of flavors was impressive, with something to satisfy every sweet tooth. We decided to try their famous salted caramel and a scoop of cotton candy, and both were absolutely delightful—creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor.

From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm smile and took the time to recommend some of her favorite flavors. Great place to hang out and have some ice cream. The team members were all friendly and helpful, the ice cream was really good, and again, it was a nice place to sit and hang out. More seating than the roseville location.

Handles has amazing ice cream and really should get five stars. Why am I giving it 4. Well I thought the scope system was a little weird. Their small cone is 2 1/2 scoops, but you can only get one flavor. Salt and Straw who’s probably their biggest competition allows for split single scoops. It’s weird because handles does one of the biggest single scoops of any ice cream parlor I’ve ever seen, but they make you commit to one flavor. I get it’s less than $2 to get an extra scoop. I actually think all their prices are super fair. I’m a big eater and came hungry and actually thought the single scoop was the perfect size so it made me frustrated I’d have to order more ice cream than I actually wanted to get two flavors. I think if they changed this and allowed you to do a split single scoop they’d be a 1000% a five star ice cream place.

So happy to have a Handel's in the area! It is only 5 minutes from my house vs driving over to Roseville and fighting for parking. The ice cream here is great--a lot of different and tasty flavors to choose from. Scoops are extremely large! It's pretty bare bones decorating inside but that's alright--the focus is on the ice cream!
Staff here is pretty nice although they can get a bit testy when it's busy and give short answers when you have a question about flavors. Parking is lot style and shared with several other business' but I've never had an issue finding a place to park.
