Great first experience at The Refinery. The service is excellent, drinks on point, and the food is superb. It’s a smaller place so I figure it might get full at certain hours of the day. Got a chance to visit for dinner and for a drink the next day and both visits were consistent. The owner is very down to earth and happy to serve as well. We definitely recommend for dates and social outings. Definitely coming back whenever we’re back in town.

First time coming to here and honestly have nothing but positive things to say! The smash burger is amazing!!! If you don't like it, they guarantee your money back, welllll they got my money plus a tip ?. I also had an old fashioned to pair with it which was superb! I highly recommend the refinery! Will definitely be coming back, this is my go to spot now for burgers and drinks! All the staff was nice and welcoming. I had a lot of good laughs, enjoyed the music, the refinery is definitely a vibe!

Very intimate place with about 5-6 tables excluding the bar seating! Fully stocked bar with tvs and music! I’ve gone twice before making this review, and I have enjoyed the food! I prefer their appetizers! I think I’ve tried most of them from the corn dip, corn dogs, to their spinach dip! All were very tasty! The second visit I had the rice bowl which consisted of rice, very few vegetables and shrimp! It was good and would’ve preferred more vegetables… it was most rice! We also had the pork chop with Brussels. They were out of (mashed)potatoes so they served with rice. It was tasty. The pork chop was thick cut and we asked for Heinz 57 or something similar and they didn’t have it! The wings and pork chop could use more seasoning! Overall it’s a unique place to visit and I would return! Drinks were good as well!

Such an amazing and comfortable neighborhood cocktail bar. Excellent food, cocktails, and atmosphere. I couldn’t imagine a more restorative place to grab a drink. Will absolutely return to this Birmingham classic

A very laidback and ‘refined’ vibe. Loved the atmosphere and the service was great! The mozzarella sticks were to die for? Wanted to try the fish and chips, but they were out.. so we’ll have to go again!

This place since the reopen has been very nice! Food is excellent every time I come! Staff is very nice and personalable and as a bartender and server myself I can appreciate that every time! Chef Caesar is very talented! Humble man and such a great cook! He did amazing with the new menu!!! Definitely great place for dinner!! Favorite plates are Steak, Pork Chops & SeaBass I love the MAC & broccolini

My boyfriend and I were looking for a small cozy date night spot and we stumbled upon this GEM! It was exactly what we wanted- amazing food, great atmosphere, and reasonable prices. The service was amazing! Kris was sooo good to us- she gave us the best recs for what to order and made us a yummy mocktail! The other servers/bartenders were just as welcoming and kind. THE FOOD!! We got the sea bass and chicken piccata and both were out of this world. Whatever sauce was on the entrees was so fresh and tasty! We will definitely be back and tell everyone we know about this place (as much as we wanna keep it our little secret spot)! Excited to go back and try more items on the menu! The chef needs to come out with some yummy desserts pretty pls!

Nice place! Great place to enjoy a drink or two before a walk of the town. Their old Fashion drink is really good there. Bar tender had a foot cast and still held the place down. He was awesome! Thanks man! This is a must while in town.
