We stayed for a week with a family of 6 it was comfortable in size. The units are dated. They need to have a bit of freshening done to the outside. Every experience inside will be different because they are rented weekly. The inside of ours could use updating older appliances, fixtures, etc. the boardwalk needs to be replaced in some spots some have been fixed. The pool is decent size and clean. The stairs around it made me nervous with small kids to fall down them, everything is concrete in the swim area some rough edges. The ocean access is a bit of a walk, it’s a long beach walkway after a long boardwalk to bring all the stuff to the ocean. Parking is assigned and is tight with a larger vehicle but it was not full so we were fine during our stay. Watch for jelly fish on the beach.

Our week-long stay at Dauphin Island Surf Club was everything my husband and I hoped it would be. Check-in and check-out were flawless. The condo (room for 6) was cute, cozy, and comfortable. Plenty of bath/kitchen linens, dishes, pots/pans, etc., plus stove/oven, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker and Keurig, dishwasher, W/D, TVs, and wifi. After a day or two, I noticed that the only clock was on the stove. What a nice touch! ("At the beach, life is different. Time doesn't move hour to hour but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tides, and follow the sun.") Close walk to the beach. Nice boardwalk from the pool to the shore. An outdoor shower where you can rinse off sand and salt. Next summer can't come soon enough!
