Not really a service complaint per se....
However what's the point of listing your office hours on Google or on your website and then when someone gets there within your office hours you're already gone or get turned away at the entrance door by the court security officer saying that the revenue office is closed.
4:30 is 4:30.

Not surprised, Customer service is a luxury in government jobs.. Cut me off while trying to ask a simple clarifying question. very rude. Will just do online from now on... Which is probably their intent anyway...

The license office in the basement is extremely slow. I have shown up to get an out of state transfer done multiple times since January. Show up first thing in the morning back after lunch and on multiple occasions still have my out of state license. The women running the show down there is rude and hates life. Why is there only one person down there especially after this pandemic. I know I’m not the only one to complain but this is ridiculous.

I just would like to share my experience not to be ugly but so it won’t happen to anyone else. My husband had a car that the motor blew up in and was leaving it parked in the yard until he could decide to fix it or scrap it, I removed the insurance and received a notice to go online and prove my insurance several months later. So I immediately did so and it told me to turn in my tag within 30 days. I’ve never had to do this before and it was in April while the court house was shut down. I forgot all about it and renewed the rest of my tags on time over the phone. Nothing was said about the car then. I received a notice dated August 12 that my title was suspended. I called the revenue office and they informed me that because I didn’t bring in my tag within 30 days that now I owed a $200 fine that if I don’t pay his license will be suspended. My notice said nothing about this she said it told me online I guess I missed that. So now I owe 200 on a scrap car and I have never once driven a car without insurance. When I told them the office was closed when I did this they informed me that it opened May 1st and I should have brought it then. I asked it there was anything they could do because of the pandemic my family had been sick they said no it was the law. I did not realize this and would like to warn everyone.

Fastest, most efficient experience registering a vehicle in my life. I was greeted with smiles and professionalism, and walked out with my tag in under 15minutes. Thank you!

I deal with multiple tag offices in Alabama. The ladies here in Jackson County go out of their way to help folks get squared away on so many levels. Many of the extra they do is well beyond the scope of their job and duty. Reading some other reviews people need to realize that Alabama Department of Revenue in Montgomery, not the Jackson County tag office, pulls the strings on fines and assessments for non-compliance, and definitely not our ladies here. We are spoiled by the service these ladies provide especially when compared to other counties.

Absolutely terrible! Waited all day to get a driver's license transfer for my elderly Mom. That woman in e basement didn't come out of that office until 10am. It's terrible, no instructions, no chairs, waited all day and still no license.
She needs some help. This was absolutely ridiculous!

The staff has always been awesome, and the wait times have been short each time I have been there ?
