Wow! What an experience today at Kali Zoi! I am such a happy and feeling beautiful camper!

This was my second time at Kali Zoi and I am so happy I came back! I found Kali Zoi through the CND website. From my eczema, I get allergic to other gel nail polishes so I did research and found out that CND Shellac is one of the only possibly only non toxic gel polishes out there. I did a search through the CND website and found that Kali Zoi has their products!

I live in PQ so it is a 20 minute drive to Normal Heights but I will be making this drive regularly to see this salon!

Today, I had Rorey and Camila soaked my nails. It was difficult to remove my last manicure because it wasn't fully CND Shellac but Rorey and Camila did it with such grace.

I'm used to the hustle and bustle of the typical nail salon but I enjoyed the luxury and extra attention of Rorey at Kali Zoi. It's a natural nail salon so they do waterless pedicures and don't use nasty ingredients and everything helps the nails and environment. Rorey did an amazing job cleaning and filing my nails and getting the perfect almond shape which makes my stubby fingers look long and elegant. She took the time to paint my nails well and she even confessed she's a perfectionist which I secretly loved.

I had Priscilla the first time and she was great as well! She is so friendly and nice.

As you can see from my pictures the place is decorated so nicely and it is definitely artistic and a vibe of Normal Heights. I bought an Affirmators Love deck from them last time and love using it!

If you want a natural gel manicure that's non toxic to your body and the environment definitely check this place out! CND shellac is by far the best gel polish I've used and I've been getting my nails done for 20 years.

I will never go anywhere else for a manicure or pedicure, Kamilah crushes it every time and is such a cool human being.

I’ve had a really positive experience with everyone there and it’s clear how much they care about their clients and the work they’re doing. my nails have never been so well looked after.

I just moved to San Diego from the Midwest and was super nervous finding a salon to help me out!

I had dip nails that were in desperate need of removal. I actually showed up a bit early and they took me right away! (I believe her name is Alexa) Shestarted the process of removing the dip, taking care to make sure they didn’t take too much so my natural nail underneath could stay intact. All so she could get me ready for Rorey!

Once done, they were super helpful in helping me choose colors. I couldn’t make up my mind so Rorey brought a few and tested them on my nails, which I appreciated! She did my French manicure (I wanted something simple and elegant that wouldn’t look obvious with grow out) and we used shellac polish! I loved how my nails turned out, super happy with how they took care of me and I will 100% be back!

Just went in for a waterless pedicure. By far one of the best pedicures I’ve had. Priscilla was amazing. She took her time and was very attentive. I did miss the feel of a massage chair but the nail tech I had alone would have me coming back. I went on a Thursday afternoon 4:30 and it wasn’t crowded. She said it can get busy on the weekends since there’s only 3 nail techs. I’ll definitely be coming back. I’m not sure if I prefer the waterless pedicure over a normal one yet lol but I love the mission.

Edit: photo was taken 2 weeks post-appointment, review was written 3 weeks post-appointment. I have chosen not to post any photos immediately following the appointment as they are more alarming. I do believe this was an unfortunate incident that is not likely to occur again, but I think it's best for me to go elsewhere. I wish the owner and salon all the best.

I had a great experience my first time here and was hoping to make this my new go-to spot. Unfortunately, my second experience has been a disaster. It's been two weeks since I got my manicure and pedicure. My nails look so grown out because they were painted so far out from the cuticle (trust me, my nails grow VERY slowly). This is normally what my nails look like with a month in between appointments. But the real issue is that nearly every finger and toe become inflamed and swollen within a day or two, and I've had to take care of an infection in one of my fingers. This has never happened in 10+ years of getting my nails done. Health and safety should be of the utmost importance, so this experience has been quite alarming. Will definitely not be returning.

This has quickly become my ‘home’ nails salon. I feel like I’ve searched high and low for a decent nail salon in San Diego and I finally found it. Every stylist is always so welcoming and good at their job. I’ve been seeing Alexa for the last 6 months and she nails it (pun intended) every time. I’m so lucky to live by such a charming salon.

Dear Shilan Hameed,
How dare you wright such lies, clearly your nails were 3 weeks grown out and anyone with their head screwed on right would know that if you were to get a fungus or whatever you're making up...you would have gotten it within 48hrs of getting your nails done! NOT 3 weeks, stop dragging people's business through the mud bc you are a nail biter and gave yourself a nail fungus! My daughter and I love this salon and have never had any issues, always clean and friendly! I'm sorry I just hate when people make up lies! Great salon!

Cute place! I came in the other day to have my nails done before my husband comes home from deployment. I believe I was with the owner. She was absolutely wonderful and worked pretty quick! I will absolutely come here again when I need my nails done for a special occasion 🙂
