Having recently moved to LA, I was looking for a new place to get my nails done and I found OUI on yelp. The location is clean and nicely decorated, parking is easily available too.
My manicure is incredible. The nail tech took her time with my paint and she is detailed trim my cuticle. The manager is making sure everything was perfect. I was more than happy when I pay them. My manicure only cost $15 dollars.

I have been struggling trying to decide if I should really write this review or not, since I know the girls at the salon work extremely long hours and very hard to try to keep the business running, but i finally decided to do for it and share my experience because

1. I, myself, am a person who take reviews into a lot of consideraron when visiting a place, and I think honesty is important.
2. I think maybe this review could potentially help the owner to re-check their customer service.

First of all, I want to say that this was my 3rd time coming here.
In the first two visits I asked for a basic mani and pedi and I had no problem or whatsoever, what made me come back this third time.

At this time, I asked for a pedicure (which was okay. Nothing to complain about), and a set of acrylics.

I showed a photo of exactly what I wanted to the woman that was going to do my nails (which I believe was the owner), just to make sure she understood what I was looking for.
I was a bit shocked when she pulled some full on stick on nails (not acrylic extensions. I’ve had acrylics nails done before, plenty of times). She literally glued them on VERY poorly and then proceeded to paint them, and just after painting them, she decided to file them. And while she was filing them, she was looking around the store and talking on the phone.
She was obviously on a rush and not focused at all on what she was doing.
When I realised what an awful job she was doing, I decided to point out very politely some apparent flaws on my nails, to what she said “nobody’s gonna see that. Only me, because I am very close”. Lol
At other instance I pointed out how obvious you could see the gap between my real nail and the stick on nail, to what she said that “that is because all nail are different, and that one is different”. Lol
I was in shock.
Again, I understand they are trying their very best to have the most amount of clients in the least possible time, but maybe they should re-consider their position and try to, at least, listen to what the client wants without making them feel stupid.

I ended up paying over $100, and now I’m just waiting to see what’s the best time to go (somewhere else) and get them removed, because my nails look absolutely terrible.

They do NOT do acrylic. Disappointed to see that other customers have left reviews like this long before I walked in and the owner has done nothing to improve. There is space between my nail and the extension, making it a perfect breeding ground for bacteria. When I asked her to remove them she tried to tell me I wasn’t ready for “movie star nails”. Please save yourself and go elsewhere.

Had a terrible experience here. The filing to get my existing shellac polish off was borderline painful, and when they moved on to shaping my nails after the removal, I noticed chunks of polish near the edges of my nails still there. While filing, my aesthetician couldn’t create an almond shape even after I showed her a photo, at which point I decided to say I was going to go. I got up and said so to the manager, who responded extremely rudely, raising her voice and saying it was $10, nothing was free. I paid and left, with my nails looking like hell. Won’t be back.

My nail tech for my pedicure was so nice and did a great job. I will be back, great location and great service! I had a spa appointment and messed up 3 toes and they corrected it for me. Thanks again ladies!!

Really wanted to like this place but it’s pricey and the quality isn’t worth it.
Came in for a full set which was $65. I was surprised at the fact that the Lady didn’t even bother to trim my natural nails or ask if I wanted them trimmed. After putting the fake ones on she only gave me two coats of paint before adding top coat and calling it good. She then proceeded to file only one of my hands which frustrated me because the nails she chose were already too small for my real nails. I’m giving it two stars because the woman was friendly and the facility was clean but overall I was disappointed and won’t be coming back.

Cash only and there's an atm on site. Things that I noticed. nothing comes out of a brand new pouch. Nothing is sanitized or cleaned before use. The woman was pulling equipment out of her pockets to use on my fingers. Overall felt like they could practice being cleaner with the equipment. Maybe not store stuff in your clothes. I felt unsatisfied

Very friendly, clean, and efficient nail salon. I walked in with a friend one evening with no issue getting right in. Excellent job on my gel nails, and good color selection. It’s cash only, but there is parking in the back.
