This has been a long time coming…

Went to Masa Masa for dinner tonight to support my daughter’s Woodcreek High School freshman class fundraiser. This is not the 1st time, 2nd time or even the 5th time. They never cease to amaze my taste buds.

Started off with the sangria flight and an elote for myself, and a frozen sangria for the hubby and horchata for my daughter. Mucho yummy!

My daughter had the carne asada burrito bowl, hubby had the quesabirria tacos, and I munched down on a pork belly, garlic shrimp, fried shrimp, fried fish and lobster tacos 🌮 🤤 they were all so good, we made sure there was nothing left. We decided to bring home a couple of churro donuts for a sweet treat later on.

The owners here are super sweet and really know how to run a great small business that makes you feel so welcome 🥰

Don’t sleep on this place! Give them a try and you’ll for sure be back!

*Also! If you are looking for a great catering option, Masa Masa does taco platters with some of their most popular proteins. They catered our wedding last November and knocked it out of the park. Everything was delicious and everyone left raving their food with full bellies 😁*

This place has a unique flavor! (They are definitely not authentic place), but I really liked porkbelly and garlic shrimp tacos!! Super friendly service! However, this place is really small and loud. They play music loud so people talk loudly. Their plating is very pretty, but since it was packed with people, we had to make it to go... I do not recommend hotdog tho, only things I could taste were ketchup and mustard... too much.. if you want to try, ask them to go easy on them or get them on the side..

Eat at Masa Masa for the first time yesterday, It was great! Awesome service at the counter, Great food all around. The servers bringing food out were friendly and good about refilling drinks. The owners made their presence in the dining room and were friendly and professional. We definitely have a new dining spot on our map, I recommend trying it whether you dine in or take it to go. 🌮 🌯 🍷.

LISTEN TO ME! This place is so good! This food is made with love! I ordered 5 tacos with the Mrs to try, and we did not have any bad tacos. Not even one would be considered meh. My favorite was pairing the fried shrimp taco and the Korean beef! Biting one and then the other. If you are thinking about it, stop and go in
You will not be disappointed. And yes, get the sangria flight, and no, you can't make it that good. So many good details! 4 stars on the atmosphere because it is small, but it kinda adds to the experience. Get in my belly!
Update: Guilty! It was so good i went back the next day and had 5 more tacos (2 repeated) they were all good and we tried the churro donut. It is really good! They recognized me. They are lovely there. Enjoy!

In around 1pm on a Friday - open seating, very personable staff. Snagged the birria and consume and tried the street taco chicharrones (Guatemalan style crispy pork belly topped with pico de gallo, pickled red onions, and citrus crema). Birria is always good, but the chicharrones definitely needed some love from the salsas they provide. Still think my favorite is the shrimp taco - but still working through the menu.

***First visit
Went in for the first time around noon on a Saturday. The place was busy and there was little to no seating available. Tables turn pretty quick so it wasn't a big deal. Tried the Fried Shrimp Taco (beer battered shrimp topped with street-style elote, green onion and cilantro-lime crema) which was very good and flavorful.

Next, tried the Quesabirria Taco (slow braised beef and monterey jack topped with cilantro, pickled red onion, and cilantro lime crema and served with a bone broth consomme.) which was also very good. The beef was well seasoned, toppings were nice additions, and the consomme very flavorful. Absolutely would order them both again. Once we get to try out more of the menu I'll adjust the ratings.

We chose Masa Masa because we all wanted tacos and they have a variety of dietary options. Everyone's taco was perfect (flavors, texture, presentation). Prices were reasonable and service was impeccable. Love the decor as well. 💜👍🏾

I’m struggling on this review… heard a ton of hype about this joint and was excited for a local taco place in WestPark. The place is small, with little seating, but has a great atmosphere. Fortunately, we arrived on a Saturday around 11:15 and was able to grab a table, but soon after it was standing room only.

The service and staff are great! Really friendly and served with a smile and commitment to our satisfaction.

Now to the food… we ordered chips and salsa, Korean Beef, Garlic Shrimp, pork Al pastor, and quesabirria tacos. Right off the bat, it’s clear they make their tortillas and chips in house… super fresh and really great flavor. The salsa was good, but had no spice to it (which is understandable, people have different tolerances).

The Korean Beef taco was loaded with really fresh carrots, cucumber, kimchi and marinated beef. You can really taste the freshness of the veggies, but overall the taco was a bit one note. It’s good, but was looking for some contrast.

For the Pork Al Pastor, once again, fresh and clearly quality ingredients, but again kinda stuck in a one note flavor.

The Quesabirria taco was probably the favorite of them all. The Birria consume was spot on and really flavorful. This was a hit for sure.

Lastly, the garlic shrimp taco I was told (I don’t eat seafood) was good, but again one note and was told there was too much mango.

Let me be very clear, this was a great experience and my review is definitely skewed based on the hype. Still very pleased to have locally owned business in our neighborhood.
