Best nail place in Santa Monica! I've tried others, but now will never leave 18K Nails. The salon is clean, nicely designed and everyone is knowledgeable about the products and nail colors! I can say "I want a color like this" and they know what number I'm referring it--its amazing! Nhi takes care of my nails so well--she does a perfect job on shape and design. I can't recommend this place enough!

UPDATE: I went with my partner when I got this service, it was at your salon. Do Not try and deflect and say it must have been another place. My nail beds are damaged now because of your services.

I’ve been here before for a regular gel mani and was fine with the service but this time I came in for a gel x fill and ended up with very thick and painful nails. The nail tech also filed my nails to the point I felt heat and pain but was told I was being “too stiff”. Additionally it was a bit of a sloppy job and my nails are so thick and he over filed the edges so my natural nail bed is exposed. Furthermore he used the drill bit and I’m pretty sure I now have the ring of fire around the base of my nails. Very disappointing, given that the service left my nails in worse condition than when I came in.

I’ve been coming here for 2 years. I can’t believe I haven’t written a review of praise for this faithful nail salon. I love this place for my gel needs! I even tried the dipping powder because of all the gorgeous colors. Either one I get it always lasts long. They take care of your nails and always do a great job. Special thanks to Kenny and Ni!

Ugly thick nails and overall sloppy. The nail tech trimmed my nails wayy too short and made them all different lengths after growing them out 🙁
Unfriendly service as well.

I spoke to Kyle at the front desk about my chipped index finger, bleeding nail, and glue everywhere, to which he responded was normal, and proceeded to challenge if I'd ever gotten dip before. Zero accommodation and very unfriendly service. Seems like they prioritize efficiency and high paying customers with designs. Disappointed

Usually I love this place... the female staff is excellent!

However, one of the young gentleman is horrible and generally never had an amazing experience with him as this is the second time. I usually get one of the female staff and they are amazing.

Right now, So so horrible. I'm writing this after one of the most painful and upsetting manicures.

He over sanded/ plucked everything to the point ever single finger is bleeding and dyed the tips of my fingers black.

He totally messed up the length, I asked for a small small trim as it took me ages to grow it longer and he took it back way too far on the first 'is this okay cut' I had to get the rest to match.

The nail artist who performs the procedure does it cleanly, but they are not good at manicure. Not much can be done for the cuticles by cleaning them. When I showed the model I wanted to have made, I paid twice the normal price. But that's not the problem. The man, who I thought was the owner of the business, asked me how I could clean the background of the design made on my nails, and I told him what could be done. The nail drawing and design was not very good, but it is enough for 1 month. I have great respect for the nail artist, but the business owners showed a careless attitude when talking to me. He spoke with a disrespectful expression. Afterwards, I said that I was disturbed by this and he said that I misunderstood, but I am sure of what I saw😂 It was disturbing that they were constantly talking in their own language and laughing while looking at me in the shop. They could speak English in a way I could understand.

Katie does such an amazing job on my nails every time. I like to do dip to let my nails grow out longer without needing extensions, and it's difficult to find a place that knows how to do dip well.

Katie definitely does the best dip manicure I've had. It never looks thick and she shapes my nails exactly how I want. Also, 18k nail boutique is the only salon I've experienced that uses a top coat for dip that doesn't require a uv light. Most salons just do dip and then use gel as a top coat.

I highly recommend this salon if you're looking for a high quality manicure! The prices are fair and they accept credit card which is a plus!

THE BEST NAIL SALON IN SANTA MONICA! Moved here 4 years ago and had been searching for my place. A friend recommended and I’m so glad I checked them out. Let’s be friends dip is my favorite color. 4 of us in a row ended up getting it the first day and now I’m a repeat customer. Kenny is so funny and Henry is the best nail technician! Definitely recommend. You’ll have a great time and end up with the exact nail shape you wanted.
